报告摘要:This talk provides a background into the open-source Geometry + Simulation Modules (G+Smo, _gismo_), software library for Isogeometric Analysis. This library provides state-of-the-art methods for geometric modelling and numerical simulation with splines. As will be show during the talk, the library is designed to be modular and extensible, and is made available in MATLAB, Julia and Python, with a base written in C++. In this talk, several features of the library will be briefly highlighted, with focus on the design of the library and the (generic) implementation of IGA.
报告人简介:Matthias Möller is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics, within the Numerical Analysis section, at TU Delft. His research focuses on the interdisciplinary field of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE), which integrates applied mathematics, computer science, and engineering to tackle complex real-world problems. As an active member of the TU Delft Institute for Computational Science and Engineering (DCSE), Matthias contributes to advancing this rapidly evolving multidisciplinary domain. His main research interests include adaptive finite element and isogeometric analysis for computational fluid dynamics, heterogeneous high-performance and future computing, hybrid mesh-particle methods such as the material point method, and the development of fast iterative solvers. Through his work, Matthias aims to drive innovation in numerical methods and computational tools to address the challenges of modern engineering and science.
