Title: A series of lectures on Mathematical thinking method (seven) the tightness in Analysis and geometry

Abstract: We begin with the compactness theorem in mathematical analysis, and introduce the ellipse estimation, the tightness of the minimal surface and so on, so as to make the students understand the importance of the tightness in the geometry and analysis.
The brief introduction to the reporter: He is a research fellow of the Institute of mathematics and systems science, Chinese Academy of Sciences and executive director of the school of Mathematical Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China. The main research area is geometric analysis. He has been selected as the special professor of the Yangtze River scholar and the CAS "Hurdred Talents Program", and has won the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund.
